Setting up Northern NJ/NYC cruise

Just trying to get a feeler for how many people would actually be down for the North NJ and newley added NYC cruise to waterfest. still trying to figure out the perfect meeting spot, so zip codes or where you guys will be leaving from would be great.

last year everyone met up at the montvale rest stop on the parkway (too far for NYC folks) then to bestbuy in paramus. from there we cut across 80 onto the turnpike/95 South to the Vince Lombardi service area and then onto the AZ meeting spot outside of waterfest.

Any idea's/comments/suggestions welcomed.

The first rest stop on the NJTPK. I think its around Exit 15 going south bound. Thats a nice rest area for alot of folks to fit.

Maybe the service area down south more then. I say the one after exit 13. I cant remember exactly where it is.

I know the one up north more. I believe the first one on the turnpike from north to south is not too shabby. (I was thinking of Vince Lombari).

But for the people coming from Brooklyn it would be harder to go through the VZW then north then back south. So... Thomas Edison looks decent. But its also 2 exits from Englishtown. LOL.

Are any of you guys entering in the show, or are you just driving down and parking in general parking? I was thinking of driving my S4 down, but if I don't park it in the show area and keep an eye on it at all times I'll probably not bring it. Does anyone know how safe the general parking area is at Englishtown?

I'm in for a cruise. But the Garden State Parkway is the best way down. to 9 to Texas Rd. I went Turnpike last year and got lost. Let me know what day/s and what times. Coming from Orange County NY.

I live in greenpoint, brooklyn area, close to both queensboro and williamsburg bridges. I'm going both days. Maybe we should set up mini-meet for NYC drivers and then cruise from there to NJ spot.

for those of you coming from NORTHERN NJ AREA: I will be continuing to meet at my usual spot. The first Rest stop On the garden state parkway accessible both north and south called Montvale Rest stop. From there we will be meeting up at the Garden State Mall, specifically bestbuy parking lot in paramus NJ and then cruising across 80 TO 95s/njtp to the first Rest Stop, Vince Lombardi. From Vince Lombardi we make a quick stop to the Alexander Hamilton Rest stop and meet up with the NYC guys (see below). from there we cruise! for those guys Out west (morris county, ect.) I'd advise you guys to cruise 80 EAST to the NJTP/95S and meet up at the Vince Lombardi or Alexander Hamilton rest stop. If you dont mind cruising up north i welcome you guys to ANY meeting spot before we hit the major highway

for those of you coming from QUEENS, NYC AREA: You can take the lincoln tunnel to 495 to route 3 and catch the turnpike going south from there. There is a restop South BOUND in SECAUCUS (Alexander Hamilton) which we can all meet up at which still allows us a good 30 minute cruise to Waterfest , the best meeting spot that i can come up with so you guys dont have to really travel north to just cruise south anyway. the GWB is probally closer but doesnt really allow for much of a cruise and or good meeting spots.

best thing i can come up with Guys, if your down, simple post your zine screename, PM me with a number or some sort of contact device and post how many cars your rolling with. i'm going to get the official thread started with a list of ppl + times/maps/ect. Walkie talkies are a PLUS! lets have a good turnout.

Not all cars are show cars that will be parking there and for $5 dollars more than general admission, you park with audizine in the exhibition area where you can easily check in on your car, and meet with a bunch of people on here. Also, there is times listed for a meeting point in East Brunswick which is right off the rt. 18 exit on the Turnpike. If you guys were to meet on the turnpike and make it to East Brunswick in time to all cruise in we'd have a ridiculous amount of audis and dubs rollin in at one time.

just rolling in is fun but actually cruising with A BUNCH of audi's and DUBS is much much more fun. plus you never know who you come across cruising on the highway, last year i had a few people join us that we had no idea who they were
