July Audi Driving Experience at Infineon

Anyone going? I'm registered for July 1st in the afternoon.

2 Hour Intro A4 Driving Experience
Drivers drive the A4 on a number of tracks designed to improve your fundamental driving skills. These tracks include braking, skid control, handling and accident avoidance. Once these fundamentals are established, drivers will lap the road course at the speedway.

Get to compare them to the BMW 328xi, Lexus IS 250, and Merc C300. Should be a fun and interesting day.

oh yeah! totally worth it. i ditched work for it, so did my bf and his bro and sis in law. we planned a day around napa after. It was tons of fun!! i rode the r8 around the track 2x, and I drove a manual TT. totally fun!

I signed up from past Audi events I attended (Streets of Tomorrow in PA/MV). I checked that I was interested in local Audi events and I get an email every once in a while. I don't have access to it at work so I'll post the link later tonight. Try searching for the subject line.

I'm flexing my time to make this event. May even drop by STaSIS for the center diff mod...

there is video somewhere of me and my friend each driving the s5 on the course from back in december.

I signed up for July 7th @ 8am.

I was there a week ago for Jim Russell and they've made quite a few changes since I was there in February. They built a small "glass" building that acts as a showroom for the latest Audi models, etc. and redecorated the sportscar/driving experience reception area. It's much nicer than it was and it was already nice before.

They also have a hell of lot more cars, this was just the RS4 lineup for an event going on the day I was there:

it should be fine, i hope, , actually the arm that worry about, i dont know how fast i need to turn the steering wheel, but i'll do my best, i drive my 6 every day for last couple months now so i 'll have some training before that event

It's well worth ditching work for. I was there last year, and got to drive the S5 around the track. My class didn't pick the "most improved" student that gets a few laps in the R8 like Dawn's class did though... wonder if they're still doing that. I give it

I was at the 1:30 slot today. It was a lot more crowded than last year but it moved along quickly. They also had the TTs out there too which was cool (the instructors used them as the lead car). The B8 a4 3.2 is pretty punchy. The Infineon track was fun to go around 3 times . . . unfortunately I was stuck in a slow group . . . My buddy and I were sandwiched in a line with a slow lead car and a constantly getting lost trail car. Such a dismal group that the instructor got on the radio and said "well not the prettiest way around the turn but at least no one crashed." our trail car lagged so far behind we lost her through turn 7 and 9 and well actually almost every other turn .

Was it anything like last year? What did you guys do leading up to track time i.e. car control, autocross, braking, hazards, etc...

What about the other cars like Benz and BMW? Were they available to drive as well?

I love how the B8 A4 handles, it's extremely responsive during the auto cross section.
The 40/60 split on the quattro system is a must, not mention the dynamic drive system. When they put all of these things into the S5, I'm trading my car up.

When compared to the Benz, BMW and Lexus, it' my fave, but I guess we're all suppose to feel that way, otherwise they won't have those cars in there.
