    Re: just ordered forge TIP

I've only had my AFE stage II for about a month. I hated the install and it took forever for the car to re-learn the airflow around the MAF.

I love the sound and the car is running really well with that and the borla exhaust now.

What issues with yours made you decide to get rid of it? Just wondering in case there's something I need to watch out for.

    Re: just ordered forge TIP

the only issues i've had with it man are 1) the @*&^ing eurothane reducer coupling, unless you have bigger than a K04, it will either rip right around the lip, or blow straight off the turbo inlet. and 2) you're better off taking all the rubber grommets out because they will dry out and tear and you definately dont want that in your turbo, i siliconed all my breathers (5) and it worked great!, but the pressure blew the reducer coupling off the turbo inlet and ripped the lip of it off as well, luckily AFE will readily send you a reducer for free, i guess theyve had the problem before, by the way, this is my 3rd ripped reducer coupling, hence the switching to a Forge TIP, those are my only probs with it though

Just got my Forge TIP a couple weeks ago. The install wasn't too bad and everything has been working fine since. It hasn't collapsed or blown off yet.

Yea, the install was pretty easy. You just have to take your time and think about the order of how the hoses have to come off.
