Its been a great week. I dropped off my car with an independant mechanic and got my downpipe gutted and just did my rotors that I got from Adam@SPP and pads today with my friend.
From what the my mechanic told me the subtle differences from 6speed and TIP downpipes is the brackets and on the area after the precat. That area has been crimpled or banged down to fit under the tiptronic transmission.
We started around 1pm and had to stop in 30-45 mins and move into some buildings garage as it rained pretty hard on us. Then we got kicked out of the garage and restarted back outside when the rain stopped. The last rotor we ran into problems when the bolt thread got jacked up on the caliper and spent 3 hours trying to get the bolt to go in properly.. All in all it turned out good.
Driver side rear ( yes i cleaned the grease on the back of the pads after the pic)
Passenger side rear
Passenger Front
Driver Front ( the one that gave us the most trouble)
Although i feel the difference with the piggies , bad news is I got a auxillary coolant pump leak (small leak) and a boost leak ( only boosting to 11psi). After getting those two things fixed. My next stop is painting those horribly rusted calipers and throwing on the decals that Klum00 gave me!
