    Shifter Alignment question.....

So I just got my car finished with the JHM rebuild kit and the Vast Stage 2 clutch. When I drive it I am having a problem to get it to go into gear. After I get moving it seems to work fine but when I'm stopped 1st seems almost near impossible. Also when I am approaching a light and I'm slowing down and the light turns when I go to put it back into gear it does the same thing with whatever gear I'm looking to go to. One last problem is the reverse gear is especially hard to get into all the time. It seems as if I have a problem with the alignment of the shifter right? If so whats the best/easiest way to align this? Thanks in advance. I tried to search but none of the responses were really detailed as to how to do this.

    Re: Shifter Alignment question.....

On JHM's site he has a video on aligning your shifter. Pick up one of these at a hardware store. He tells you in the video what degrees it is best to be set at

    Re: Shifter Alignment question.....

me and my dad did mine like 5 times now, yerstday I made it loos, then pushed the shifter all the way to the left and then a tad to the right, just a little mm or so and now it's nearly perfect, also reverse is much smoother now then previous times, the other time it was good to, only fourth gear was a bitch sometimes!
you gotta go drive it and adjust it with a passenger, drive-stop-adjust and so on till its good!

Nice it seems as if 5 degrees worked best for the alignment of my shifter. Its like a dream now compared to what it was. Thanks guys.
