mucho dinero, lol. You'd need new turbos, such as rs4 k04's, the hardware and inlet piping to go with it, a fueling kit, upgraded intercoolers, probably a new clutch such as an rs4 clutch, and a LWFW isn't a bad idea either. If you're not up for that yet, then def downpipes

Why have loadsa power if you can't use it all to it's full potential?

Do the handling and braking 1st, 400+ brake in a stock chassis just isn't that useable, other than in a straight line, providing you don't wanna stop too quick!

Yep, I did suspension and brakes before I went stage 3. Coilovers and rear sways are the way to go.

Agree with almost everyone. If you want power first obviously go with ECU. If you want handling (which you should do because that also improves looks and feel of the car) then do coilovers. They are all very good. Go with a major company like H&R, Stassis, Bilstein... Those are all very good. Also you need to get new DV's (710's is all you need $35 a piece) and a new TBB ($45-110 depending on what you want.) Check to make sure all maintenance is up to date. Get an oil change, just the simple stuff really. Make sure everything is in great working condition before you go on with your mods, but do Coilovers first for sure. Just my .02

Inflation is ~4% right now and your average 6m-1yr cds are paying less than 3%. Which mean you're actually losing wealth. Consider being a contrarian and put your money in an equities ETF or a high yield/distress bond fund. Obviously your balances are NOT guaranteed but you would be getting in near the bottom. (Get a good investment advisor-worth his/her weight in GOLD)
