A few more pics with a better point-and-shoot than my cellphone a few weeks ago... the lighting was not really ideal - I think these were taken about high noon, no Golden Hour for me - but I wasn't going for anything serious. I plan on getting the carbon fiber splitter for the DTM bumper soon, and giving the car a nice solid detail before taking some nicer pics.

KMHPaladin- Car looks good. I dont know if it is the angle but it seems as tho the paint on the bumper doesn't match the fenders entirely.

You have to get it from a dealer or someone that carries OEM parts. If you purchase it from the dealer they need a Vin# to get all of the parts from in the computer system.

Good eye. I'm the second owner of this car and I strongly suspect the left front fender was repainted at some point and blended into the original bumper. It has several nice rock chips while the passenger side fender is pretty much pristine. So the bumper looks slightly off on that side while the match on the passenger side and the hood is really good. I am trying to figure out how to remove the fender and bring it to my body shop to get painted 'back' to proper Quartz.

The angle can effect the appearance though - if I look at it in my garage, where there is a ceiling fluorescent light fixture to the passenger side, and walk from the side to the front, the fender and the bumper vary from lighter to darker as perspective changes. I think it's just how a metallic paint responds to light.

I got the parts from Carson at Riverside Audi. If you know the part numbers (which I believe have been posted here and definitely have been posted on Audiworld) any dealer can order them for you, but Carson is great and offers nice prices. I installed it myself, it's really just removing/replacing a bumper. If you'd like more details, shoot me a PM.

nice car...front seems like it can be adjusted down a bit further dont you think? those wheels (i might be wrong) but are a +38 offset so you should be able to go nice and low without rubbing

I thought they were ET35, Tirerack (i.e. O.Z. NA) seems to think they are ET36. Either way, I think the front could probably come down a bit more but I'm debating lowering it much further since I do go over some decent declines. I had an Oettinger lip spoiler on my B5 and the front slammed and I had to be really careful.

To add to the suspecting mis-matched paint color:

I've seen other posts/threads with these thoughts on the DTM bumper, and they were more coming from the fact that the DTM bumper seems to have some fitment problems. I've noticed a good deal of 'em seeming to bulge out, and not continue the plane that the sheetmetal has leading up to that edge of the fender panel. Some seem to be ok, and others seem to be more glaring; I don't know if this is DTM's problem, or just a variance from installer to installer.

There was a post recently, and both the thread title and OP's name are escaping me, of a Moro blue B7 A4 sedan with a DTM-like front end, and people were specifically posting about how much cleaner of a fitment it seemed to have. It wasn't made by DTM, but had almost the identical, RS4-rep look.

I've noticed some degree of variance in bumper-fender joints with new bumpers, but it's probably more of a variation from installer to installer (or installation to installation). The way the bumper attaches to the fender is done via two bolts that protrude out of the bumper through the fender, and are fastened with nuts from inside the fender.

I think some degree of adjustment when the nuts are almost tightened down could aid in the fitment there. My bumper fitment is pretty good on both sides, but I would mostly attribute it to luck (I was frustrated as hell trying to get the driver side back on because of a lack of clearance around the washer reservoir, so I was not in a frame of mind to be fine-tuning it once I got the nuts tightened). I need to pull the bumper again to replace the corner bulbs with orange blinkers, so when I reattach it I'll have to play with adjustment when tightening down.

No reason why not. It's referred to as the "DTM front" here (since it is from the European DTM package) but in the US the bumper was used on the 25quattro S4 and then as an a la carte option for 2007 S4s. So, you should have no problem ordering the parts through any dealer.
