    My Dyno Sheet----Finally!!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
As many of you know I'm running the evolution racewerks hardware kit on my car. Everyone wanted to know what it makes well I finally got it dyno'd. 291.4 on a dyno dynamics. Thus had I gone to a dynojet I'd easily be in the 300's. This is on pump and methanol injection. With a rather conservative tune. I'll be finishing off my exhaust next week and then I plan on going to the dyno again to get a 300awhp dyno on pump out of this set-up. The beauty of this kit coupled with the ER comp intercooler is that I was not losing any hp. The 4th run I made actually made 292hp but my car started to misfire so the graph is a little up and down. Here is the sheet:

    And one of the kit...

always amazed by the numbers that are generated at the top RPM range with these setups . . . it has been said before but I'll say it again . . . it would be nice if the numbers came on earlier though. The price we pay for big turbos on small displacement cars.

looks good! makes running the whip around just that much better.

Correct. I'll get it over 300 on pump and then see what it does on a race file and then its time for a bigger turbo and built head.

damn that thing takes FOREVER to make power! Even if it does read a little low, I was just looking at one of my dynos to compare and actually both of my dyno graphs (two different dynos) at 4000rpm I was at 200whp and 265wtq where you were at 200whp and only 210wtq at 5000rpm! I think you need more timing or something.

Like I said the file is a pretty conservative one. I was working with Mike Z at unitronics and I'm still using the immobilizer defeated ecu he sent me as we were having other issues with the software. Now that everything is good thou we can actually go in and start to tune it. I mean close to 300 on pump is a pretty decent start.

I'm very happy with the set-up and can't wait to finish the tuning and exhaust on my car, then its back to the dyno with some new plugs and we'll see how we do.

yes but you are running meth which is a huge difference so you are technically not on "pump." With my meth running I could run the highest timing setting I have with my Revo software which is only ran on race gas.

Shawn (A4ringed0ne8t) dynoed 298whp on "pump" and meth with his GTRS.

That setup makes power as slow as mine does but it makes more of it . Those are really good numbers on pump. This setup would be more ideal for a 2 liter motor which can spool it up faster. Once you get the tuning where you want it, I'm sure you'll touch the 320's, on pump.

^^True..thats why I'm gonna go in a play with the timing settings. Right now I'm running the conservative OTS Uni tune, and probably its a old file since me and Mike were having issues before. Now that all of the hardware is figured out we can go back in and play with settings. I had revo before, I think with a little more timing my ar wil be completely different. Currently when I log I have 0's all the way through even when its 80 degrees outside.

    Re: My Dyno Sheet----Finally!!

im a little confused now, I just looked and the only dyno I could find was one from a different dyno than the place he dynoed with me once and then went back another time to dyno. The one that I found said about 98 octane mix with meth. I need to ask him what he did at the CFT dyno which was the one I was talking about.

What nozzle are you running with the meth? And like I said, yes you need more timing which will definitely add power earlier.

Do you have any logs of timing? What are your BTDC numbers?

    Re: My Dyno Sheet----Finally!!

I'm running a single 375. I plan on adding some more timing to this bad boy very soon. The faster the spool the better. I have some logs, let me check my BTDC numbers. I remember reading a post you wrote about this before and when I went to look at my graphs I got way too confused, haha.

    Re: My Dyno Sheet----Finally!!

375 is the right nozzle so that is good. My BTDC numbers from block 003 were around 10-13 on T9 with REVO. So you want your timing to be around there if not more Unitronics maps may allow higher timing so you could possibly get like 16 while having very low correction factors (2s or 3s)

I never logged block 003 before it was always, 002, 011, and 020. What would be a good set of blocks to send over to Mike so we can make the right decision on how much more timing to add?

yah very narrow torque curve. probably fun but man i've been there before.

can you dyno it in 1st gear? i'd like to see that just for kicks if you are renting it by the hour do a run 1 2 3 4

011 also shows timing advance so you can use it instead of 003, you will just have water temp and intake air temp to show intercooler efficiency on 011 instead timing advance and flow at the MAF from 003.
