Tilt Mirror Feature

I didnt want to thread jack the "Things you wish your B7 had" so i decided to start another one.

Is it possible to use the Vag cable and set the auto tilt mirror feature for those that dont have it. I dont think there is any extra hardware in the mirrors that do this, probably some setting that is used for those with the convenience pack. So for you knowledgeable persons in this forum, any ideas??

Have you tried turning the knob to the right mirror position? It works for me if I do that..if it is in the middle or left, it won't work.

u need memory seats...if no memory seats, then no auto tilt

what packages are on your car? i see s-line in your sig, what others?

According to some spec info I found it is only on the 3.2

"part of convenience package"
3.2 Sedans & Wagons Include All Models Equipment Plus Driver's Seat & O/S Mirror Memory.
3.2 Convertibles Include 3.2 Sedans & Wagons Equipment Plus Acoustic Convertible Roof.

Wish this as not true as I just got 2.0T avant yesterday. Been lurking for a while first post :)...

With the packages my car has, it's supposed to have the memory seat feature. It does not. Guess I'm screwed.

I have the S Line but no convenience. I went out and tried it and no luck, I also read the manual and it doesnt indicate that it is package exclusive so i'm stumped. Even if it was though, my original question would stand then, is is "VAG-able"?

I have a fully loaded 2006 S-line...memory seats of course and all the packages except titanium. I just thought that was a mirror feature, but it does make sense that it could be part of the memory package...but it has nothing to do with the memory positions.

I love my memory seats. I though the window tilt came with premium package, maybe that was just 05.5 and 06 vehicles

Humm for 2008 it looks like it is just 3.2 L cars but who knows. If it works it works if not I guess we are out of luck.

I believe the convenience package includes the mirror tilt feature and looks like it's available only on the 3.2 for 2008

I had it in my acura cl-s, and I definitely miss it on the a4. ah well.

Honestly, I don't even use the mirror tilt feature.

I didn't think I would either, but now that I'm used to using it on the A8 I miss it when I'm driving the A4.

Honestly there are so many little chinsy movess Audi made mainly on the 07 A4s it's almost swaying me away from the brand. At least the A8 doesn't seem to be lacking anything this year.

This feature makes parallel parking a breeze. Sometimes when I drive other vehicles that don’t have this feature and it is then that I realize how convenient it rely is. IMO.

I have convenience package, which has the motorized folding mirrors, but I cant get the auto adjusting feature to work. Im guessing I just dont have it or mine is broken. Mine is 08' but has no memory seats.

I hate not having automatic mirrors...You would think that a fully loaded A4 would come with some...

I have the conv. package. I have the Compass on rearview, folding mirrors, bi xenon, homelink visor, but no memory seats, oh and apparently no auto adjusting passenger mirror to help me parallel park.

Hmmm mine is fully loaded and i have tilt mirrors and my mirrors are tied to my memory seats...different seat positions change different mirror positions and the mirror tilt feature is definitely awesome...

I have a 06 and conv package and the pass mirror with the knob turned to it will go tilt down. But i'm such a good parker i wont need it! lol but its cool to have. if you have conv pack, you also have smart wipers which i think are the best thing ever. I never touch the wiper stalk for the wipers.

Take a look in the DIY section. I did a write-up on adding seat memory and mirror tilt/folding mirror function to a B6 A4 that came without these features. It IS a function of the seat memory to have the mirror tilt/folding mirror function, along with the proper mirror switch. It IS NOT a vag-able option. Vag-com has nothing to do with these features. It is all hardware/wiring related.
