    AWE Non-Res Catback Exhaust Installation...need a lift?

    Hi all;

    I just picked up a used AWE non-resonated CB for my 04 S4...I can't wait to get this thing on.

    Can it be done in a driveway with ramps/blocks? Or will it be too difficult? (I'd rather not pay an indy shop to do it if I can do it myself...but I won't have access to a lift).

    Suggestions? Thanks :)

    Any B6/B7 exhaust can be installed with ramps but if
    you have access to a lift you'll save a ton of time and back aches.

    I used ramps, took me like an hour at the most, taking the stock system off was the hardest part

    Use ramps or Jack stands. The hardest part is getting the exhaust free of the rubber hangers in the middle of the car. You def have to use some force.
    Good luck

    Thanks for all the responses everyone :) Right now the exhaust is sitting (unwrapped) in my living room, driving my girlfriend crazy...
    Installing it will make my car louder and my girlfriend quieter ;)

    Hi all;

    Did the install this afternoon with ramps and no lift. The hardest part was removal of the stock exhaust, in particular getting the hangers to slip out of the rubber holders. Also the nuts which held the clamps near the downpipes were rusted, but nothing a little WD40 couldn't handle.

    Thanks for the advice...love the new aggressive sound :)
