Should I get an 05 or 06 - scared to buy first year of new model

yeah I know stupid question but hear me out. I work in facility where we have different model years of product and every few years a new model line or redesign. So usually year one is the most questionable since the new design isn't totally proven out yet. they upgrade things and find things that don't work so well add features etc.

Should I have any fear of this with a the C6? Any 05 guys having "nothing but trouble"?

Hoping to go 4.2 but will most likely just get the 3.2
