Question B6ers with factory ride height

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
does anyone have a factory height b6? or know the answer to my question...

how many inches is it from the ground to the top of the front and rear wheel wells? ...not the actual well, but the fender opening right where it folds inward

im looking for dimensions on both sport and standard models.

i bought my A4 a few weeks ago, and the previous owner lowered it, im trying to figure out how much.

    Thanks

Re: B6ers with factory ride height

I know my USP was about 26 front / 25.75 rear on stock sport suspension. Non sport is about .75 higher...so probably:

Sport: 26 front / 25.75 rear (note 02 sport is a little lower than this)
    Non Sport: 26.75 / 26.5

Re: B6ers with factory ride height

Looks like they are H&R sport springs... the coils are red, and the height is right
"Lowers: approximately 1.7" Front, 1.6" Rear for quattro" -AWE Tuning

ok next question... would going from these to Eibach "Pro-Kit" (1.2 / 1.2)springs do alot for driveability?

Re: B6ers with factory ride height

EIbach pro-kit is pretty much stock sport suspension. I wouldn't make that move but it will help driveability

Re: B6ers with factory ride height

What shocks are on it? If it rides like crap and you're sure there are aftermarket springs installed, the previous owner could have put the springs on there without replacing the shocks causing the bad ride quality.

Get some coilovers. My old car had the eibach kit on it and it had a shitty ride too. My Audi has KW V2s and the ride is amazing. Its nice and low but still comfy

Re: B6ers with factory ride height

Or you could just buy my '02 sport suspension setup (shocks/springs/rear sway bar)...

Shameless plug... I know, I know.

Re: B6ers with factory ride height

at the moment, i have no jack, or tools... we are in the process of moving, and most everything i own is packed away.

only thing i can tell about the shocks is that they are red and black... on one of the rears i could make out "monroe" stamped into the body near the lower mount.

the roads around here arnt the best either... i also have to go down a dirt road 1ce a week this thing has me feeling the need to swerve around the larger of the rocks... lol

we also see about 90" of snow annually... so... =\ ...i might pick up a pos for the winter... tis a shame to put away the quattro for a junker, but it would save salt damage

Re: B6ers with factory ride height

    sounds like OE shocks.
red OE shock = OE sport
    black OE shock = non-sport.
non- sport springs and Koni FSD
