Starting Problem...Please help!

I have a 2000 A4 quattro 1.8t. When i start my car cold, it starts right up. But if the engine is hot, it wont turn over. I have to keep pushin the gas pedal and play around to get it going. Black smoke comes out of the exhaust sometimes. there is also a slight hesitation in hitting the gas when it finally starts. any ideas?? i've been told its getting too much gas? is this right.

^^ About the coolant sensors, anyone know why there are so many different kind ranging from 6 bucks at Autozone to 50 at the dealer? That seems a little extreme

He just changed the sensor. Seems to be working fine for now. $6 at autozone.

Same problem here. An automotive engineer suggested to me vaporisation, which would be resolved by the coolant temp sensor.

One extreme says that it is made by Adidas, sorry, Audi, and the other says it is made by Cheng Shu Electric Co.
