    Hid Bulbs

My left headlight kept going out, and then would work again so I called up the stealership and he said it sounded like the igniter was faulty - under warranty he said. Then when i took it in he said the bulb was faulty, and GOD DAMN i had to pay 468 dollars to have my BULB CHANGED.

My question is, how does a bulb go out and then come back on?? Doesn't it sound like there is a loose connection or something? And is it even normal for a car with 43 K miles to have to have a xenon bulb replaced? My dad's car has 133K miles and the bulbs all work fine.

whats going on man. we see that alot at my dealer. we change bulbs on car's with less that 5k sometimes. don't know what it is w/ the bulbs but some will last forever. i've also seen the HID bulbs do that. not quite sure what causes it but it seems like there's something wrong with the bulb and it cause's the igniter to heat up and shut down till it cools back off. kinda weird but i've seen it 10 plus times so i guess you just got a not so good bulb.

You could have had upgraded to Osram 6000k bulbs for like $150 each.

You must be crazy and obviously didn't look into the classfieds:

I am selling 2 NEW OEM bulbs for $110 shipped.

I really really don't want to threadjack but I cannot believe that somebody seriously spends so much money on two xenon bulbs.
