    Just got the calipers painted

    Well my G2 caliper paint came this afternoon and I figured I would just get it over with so I can have it for the (Hopeful) weekend photoshoot. I just got done a couple of minutes ago and snapped some shots. I'll admit, the rears look a little small when I threw the wheels back on.

    nice like the dark red!! did it on my old car and it turned orange over time...so be carefull but i may of not put enough layers on

    Haha nice Pyro... You're entitled to your opinion, but I think it's gonna look nice (rhymes with rice) with the brilliant red and black wheels. Believe me, I'd like to have a BBK but exhaust and a few other things are going to come first... I just can't do the black and red everything else and silver calipers. Oh yeah, I guess blacked out headlights are coming next.

    There are a couple spots where I got some of the clips(?) for the pads because I was dumb and didnt tape anything off. It didn't drip, just caught some stuff with the brush that I didnt want to... But I think it should still look fine once I get the wheels put on.

    You painted the caliper without taking out the retaining spring?

    I just did mine last weekend in black semi-gloss. Used Dupli-color spray with ceramic and it came out great. Tricky thing, it was dry in 10min for recoat and you had to do it within 1 hour or wait 7 days after that. It's all about the prep, I went over mine with a wire wheel on my dremel and lots of cleaner.

    Just use a screw driver and pop it out. It will be fine. I taped mine off. PITA but oh well. I had drips on the floor from doing mine from the brush just having to much on. Then waited a few hours to let everything dry and put the wheels on and went to Bed. I really like it painted, much better then the stock look.

    u can get them on ebay for like 15 bucks shipped...just search under "audi brake caliper decals"....
    ...step your shoe game up!
