Question I am losing my mind! PLEASE HELP!!!

Some of you may remember a while back that I was trying to piece together the 3.0 brake ugrade kit. So I got the new (used) carriers in today and took the old ones off and they are the exact same size as my 1.8t ones! The 288mm size carriers! Did some 3.0 cars not use the 312mm size rotors? Or do I need the actual calliper too? This whole process has been the biggest pain in my ass! Thinking of returning everything and just getting some 288mm zimmerman or brembo rotors and ceramic pads and calling it good. What should I do?

I'm pretty sure that you need the calipers too. Its not too late to go with the stock sized EBC slotted rotors and Red Stuff pads.

You DO NOT need the caliper, it is the same exact thing as the 1.8T. Check the part numbers and you will see. The carriers, on the other hand, are noticably different.

EDIT, I meant the carriers are noticable different, I think everyone got it though
