Bad news about out of state registration, and a question on where to buy...

Well, according to the Base Vehicle Registration office, if I want to keep my out of state registration I need to get the Hawaii State Inspection sticker AND the Out of State Permit sticker on the car... I'm fine with it after driving around the Island a bit and seeing vehicles with those small metal plates affixed under the rear bumper which is where they are displaying their safety inspections...

My question is, where can I purchase the small metal plates from? And I'll also need to buy or make one for the out of state permit...

I realize it seems like alot of work but, I'd rather do this work now vice spending a few hours on removing the stickers upon my return to the mainland...

I've only seen one person with the big plate that fits the out of state registration sticker. I think that one was custom made though.

As for the small safety inspec. plates I heard Ron's Performance carries those.

Eurosport also carry the plates but I remember them being pricey.

I actually called eurosport about it earlier today, they only have the ones for the safety inspection stickers, not for the out of state permit...

How pricey though? I mean, its a piece of metal with a few holes drilled into it... if it is seriously that bad, I'll just make one myself, lol...

I'm wondering if I could make a piece that mounts to the bottom two holes of my license plate bracket and have the out of state permit affixed there or it HAS to be on the right side of the bumper...

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention there are 2 different sizes. One is for safety inspection and the other one is a bit longer to fit safety inspection and recon.

hhhmmm, I wonder if I could get away with buying both and cross my fingers the out of state sticker will fit on the longer one... I don't think I'll need a recon sticker, no suspension mods done...... YET, lol
