Best Priced Coil Overs

What is the least priced set of coilovers right now for the b7 a4?

After having spent over $30k for a car, is the lowest price really the best way to select a suspension kit?

The lower the price, the more likely the parts are made in China, India, or other poor quality manufacturing locations. Warranties are shady, and support from their supposed "dealers" is nowhere to be found.

Stick with well known and high quality components from Bilstein, H&R, Stasis, Vogtland, KONI, KW, Hotchkis, etc, and you'll be much better off.

Let us know what you're looking for from your suspension. Lower? Stiffer? Softer? adjustable? track duty? daily driving? There are a ton of options out there, so offering some insights to what will make you happy can help to narrow the choices down a lot.

Don't mean to be rude or anything, but if cheap is all that matters, then cross your fingers, shop on ebay, and hope and pray.

But as a discriminating Audi driver, I suspect you're looking for quality, performance, and of course a good value. There's lots of great info in the archives from numerous members and vendors alike that can really open your eyes to a lot of products you might not have heard of before even.

Mike you're so funny.

A couple of weeks ago I was at my local shop and a guy rolled up in GTI 1.8t and apparently he got chipped at your place. Anyways, he had this crazy korean exhaust or something and he was looking to get it installed for $50 bucks. I can't even remember the name of the exhaust company, but I guess their primary market are Hondas.

I always tell people if you can't buy a good quality product save your money.

To the OP, I'm sure Mike could help you out pic out some nice equipment for your car. Personally I like the Stasis Products. $.02

Of your listed " quality " brands above, what does the price structure start at?

I wasn't ever looking for low end asia coils. I was considering between the following just from hearing about it the most on this forum. Stasis, Vogtland, KONI. All quality brands i believe.

We weren't trying to judge anyone. Its just that when you say lowest price, we just assume the worst that's all and when shopping for components for any vehicle, price should be a consideration, but not a driving factor.

In general a good set of new coils can be had from $1500-3000. I think people were getting the best deals on some group buys and personally I wouldn't buy used coils, because its like buying used shoes.

Come on Mike, Chiese built quality is not that bad. Suspension is a key component to a car, i dont think any company wants to fuck around with that.

These are the best bang for the buck for a street car. I ran them for a while and they were Great!

I dont think they were judging. They gave you an answer for your question, and offered a good advice. Your question was flawed thats why you had to re-phrase it. Anyway I have only been in 2 cars with Coilovers.. Bilstein PSS9 (they handle great, good solid ride, a little bumpy) and motorsports

. Do you just want to lower your car? auto x? track? spirited canyon driving?

FWIW here's my breakdown:

Stasis SS/Konis: Best bang for your buck, solid entry-level coilovers at an affordable price (900-1K + install).

Bilstein PSS9: Mid-level coilover. Allows for adjustment of most major settings while on the car (via knobs) (1500-1600 + install)

Stasis Motorsports: Top-tier coilover. Read some reviews and you'll pretty much see why these are considered the best. Comes at a price though (around $3800 + install).

STaSIS/Ohlins SL's are there too at $2499 (no remote reservoirs and no compression/rebound adjustments, just ride height adjustments along with the fantastic Ohlins dampers)
