first, my intercooler pipes are done :) and they're really pretty. Pics are further down... this man welds like a machine (literally... some of the cleanest work I've ever seen, i wish i could do stuff like this on my own) This same guy has a single turbo rb26 powered 280z... the car is amazing. people always ask him what kind of intake/exhaust manifold he's running... his answer is always "oh, i made those" [O_O] lol he's more or less done everything on the car himself. (did a guy near me's single turbo 300zx too.. that's what convinced me to go to him)

second, where the hell did all the search buttons go? is my browser fucked up, or is there maintenance going on that the mods hoped we wouldn't notice (since nobody seems to use the search anyways ) lol

I guess the site got updated. Anthony has been talking about getting rid of it because you can't use words smaller then three letters.

As for the IC piping. Lemme see lemme see!!

s.o.a.b.... i needed to use it lol.
pics are coming in a few minutes. and i dont wanna hear any gripes about IC size or pipe diameter - im planning ahead lol

the guy doing the work has done a LOT of cars, and very very VERY powerful ones at that - so i trust his judgment in the matter. he also came up with a sweet way of mounting the IC (with tabs on the bottom that are welded to the old IC pipe which is integrated into the frame)

    Re: two things...

that mount is SOLID - with how tight the pipes fit, the thing doesn't even budge. it's great - fits AMAZINGLY well, and only cost 400 bucks (including all supplies, clamps, couplers, and time to remove my ECU) bringing me to a grand total of about 485 spent on this setup. I've got my old small one/old pipes FS now - PM me if you want em, i'll let it all go real cheap (clint hooked me up to begin with.)

yeah the bumper fits, BARELY... and with some significant trimming lol.

also, he asked - but i told him to just leave it where it was and move the sensor because i'll be replacing it soon and my PS pump is blown anyways. (gonna replace it with one of the mini-tranny coolers from autozone)

    TP/DP/Exhaust (480/1000-1500+)
    FMIC (485/700-1200)
    TIP (0/150-300)
    Injectors (200/200)

    ^cuz i have a turbo and not a 3.slow hahaha.

really though - like i said, i talked with the guy at the shop about my intended goals for the car, and possible future expansion. I wanted as little potential upgrading to do (to supporting mods) as possible.

eh, hate all you want (if you wanna consider that hating lol) but it's BEYOND being better work than anyone else in the area. the guy is very skilled with making things fit where they shouldnt - and also at putting it all together.

fedex fucked up the "overnight, delivery by mid day" thing, and didnt get uni my ECU untill almost night-time yesterday. They got it flashed/chipped (idk which it is, i think solder-in) and shipped out today, so i coughed up the $$ for saturday delivery, and it's supposed to be in tomorrow morning.

long story short - not right now, but tomorrow morning it will be.

then on monday i go back for a little more welding... putting a nice, loud, ricer-style BOV on it lol. It's just a regular Turbo XS type-H (not a H RFL) ...i thought about just letting the forge dump, but i figured why not go with a big blingy valve since i have the spare cash (got it cheap on ebay, yes its real.)

so i'll prolly have a forge 007 up FS on monday afternoon, along with a few other bits and goodies that i get to go home and strip from the car. after that it's onto the fun shit, (034 motor/tranny mount, JHM shifter stabilizer/linkage) more fresh oil, (doing a change just to check how things are going in there) rs4 rsb, fitting the front bumper back up, finishing the heatshielding/ducting, organizing my engine bay, and a bunch of other misc. tasks...

It'll be running, but definitely far from complete. This car has only begun it's transformation.
