I have a fmic and am wondering if it is safe to drill into the piping ,my main concern is boost leaks ...

Has anyone installed this kit before ,If so what were the main issues with it?

Re: Snow Performance Water Meth Kit

You can drill into the intercooler piping, but the problem with that is the piping is thin. The best thing to do is take it to a shop or welder and have a small piece of metal welded in the location you want the nozzle. This will give it more bite.

That is a very popular company and only issues I ever hear, but this is with any kit, are pump failure, clogs, leaking connections. If you keep an eye on these things you shouldn't have any issues.

I also highly recommend a fail safe, I believe they offer one.

Re: Snow Performance Water Meth Kit

I had no problem threading the nozzle in my intercooler piping. If you have steel piping though it is a bad idea because it is gonna rust over time and cause a hole to form in the piping, so in this case you need to have an aluminum or stainless pipe made to put the nozzle in. And the snow performance kit (the kit I have) has cheap connections which will leak. I actually need to go and fix mine now since I havent been running the kit for like 6 months due to a bad leak and the tank going empty in a day. Best thing to do is to buy brass fittings and get the crush washer/nut deal that seal the hose to replace the plastic fittings with the quick connects on them. Because they will leak I promise you that. I think A4ringedone8t had his leak in like 1 week.

    What modifications do you have?

The eurocode kit. It is perfectly fine if you dont run water/methanol in it.

You need to get an SPS 3 or Select Plus controller (I prefere SPS 3) so you can increase timing if you dont already have one. You could also just find lemmiwinks to download and add a few degrees of timing once you get the meth injection going and tuned right. I forget the nozzle sizes but I use the 375cc nozzle with full pump pressure with my GTRS so you will need the smaller nozzle below that. Then you will set your controller to turn initial spray at the lowest setting (think it is 8psi) then full spray at like 13psi range with the K03. I would go from there and then tinker with the full spray setting turning it up and down slightly to feel if the car wants to go faster or bog down.
