Quietest exhaust? Trade for my UUC VM3!

I am looking for one of the quietest exhausts I can find for my car. And I am willing to trade someone my VM3 for it. These are super rare now so who wants it?!!

Anyway, someone has offered me to trade their APR stealth and that sounds like something that i really want becuase I heard they are very quiet and have a nice tone. We'll see if everything goes through. I can tell that the VM3 is a very desirable exhaust becuase I have got tons of PM's already and I only posted this an hour or so ago!

i have a modified stock exhaust :)

think the quietest is the neuspeed but its a single 3", if you still want dual the twin 2 is the quietest along with the ss auto.

my apr (not sure what model) is baffled to all hell in the massive resonator and the muffler. so im guessing that is the quietest. thats why im putting on my asp

APR stealth isn't a true dual exhaust though is it? Not that it's a huge deal, I have heard good things about it anyway.

bump. i don't consider that a threadjack seeing that i am NOT looking for a quiet exhaust and you are NOT looking for an ASP and already have a trade lined up. making a WTT thread is against forum rules in the first place bud so im just hopping in to share in your illegal thread ;) so... anyone want a UUC for an ASP tru-dual in the MA area? (89mmtips required). uuc sounds SICK but i have downpipes, testpipes, a heaavy foot and a long driving record =/ asp is a little quieter which is a good thing for me.

APR stealth and Borla are the quietest that I've heard of. I personally have the 3" single Borla and it's really quiet. Comparable to the APR. Good luck with the trade. If it falls through let me know and I might be willing to trade.

APR, Nuespeed, and Borla are not the quietest... I'm almost positive that Vibrant is the quietest (since it was actually sold by Audi), next being either Milltek 3" or Scorpion (pretty close), and the aforementioned to follow. The Milltek Super-Dual is probably right in there with the APR Stealth and the Nuespeed, next being the Borlas.

No sir. MTM's are in with the Milltek's somewhere, but Vibrant is reeeeealy close to stock (almost unnoticable)...

edit: that's why they were only like $300 cause you got barely any sound or HP/TQ.

Do any of you other guys with VM3's get really loud backfires that are loud POPS when you let off the gas pedal? Mine can be really bad sometimes but I have an exhaust leak up near the cats so that might have something to do with it. Just seeing if anyone else got that.

I dont know, I would understand if these cars sounded like shit, but they probably have one of the nicest exhaust notes out there, very close to the vr6, why wouldnt u want it loud so everyone can hear that music to your ears?

i've got the mtm exhaust...the only way to make it sound good is to remove the resonator...otherwise it's just too quiet.

I think that this has something to do with your fueling coming out of the throttle b/c when I switched ecus my burbling noise stopped and I know that on the second ecu there it is adjusted to almost no fueling when the pedal is released. Just my thoughts.

Yeah what I hear isnt really "burbling" its one loud POP when I let off the gas. It sounds so terrible, embarrassing to me. Because it sounds like some old beater junk car that backfires loud. I am hoping that with the APR stealth that I get it will minimize the backfires. Is that a possibility?

Also I am going from the UUC which is true dual all the way back with only a resonator. The APR stealth has a resonator and a muffler at the back, and its only a single 3" pipe. Do you think this will make me lose a little bit of power or will it be negligible?
