bring the car! the roads aren't THAT bad. I don't think I could go 4 months without 4 rings.

also, check out and introduce yourself on www.absolutelydriven.com, it's a bunch of guys in the DC/VA/MD area. A ton of nice euro cars and a great bunch of guys/girls.

I was in DC last week, the traffic lights are timed HORRIBLY. There will be times when you hit EVERY SINGLE ONE (tons of red light cameras). Driving circles and traffic cops directing me to turn across opposing traffic during a red turn signal WHEN CARS WERE APPROACHING were a headache as well. And of course the parking sucks. I was amazed to find a place more aggrivating to drive in than NYC but at least the people are much less aggressive on the road.

Oh and did you know they have speed cameras there?

where are you going to be living in dc? depending on location it may not be all that necessary. also, depending on where you live i wouldnt plan on street parking as it can be a nightmare at times. as far as driving, it isnt all that bad once you get used to it.

DC is one of the worst cities on earth for driving...do yourself a favor and leave your expensive rims at home. There is no tax base in DC, so therefore, no road repairs. I have memorized the ruts in the roads I drive every day in an attempt to maintain some type of ride quality...you will end up doing the same.

so true. you know it is bad when everyone changes lanes well ahead of bumps because they have been there so long.
