Tried my hand with a nice camera

My sister's boyfriend let me borrow his Cannon camera the other night so I could try and get some good pics of the car. I really needed a tripod and I didn't know how to work most the settings on it. Did my best and this is what I got.

Not the car but I like this one I did this morning of my dog Dakota.

I don't know much about photography, but from what I've been told, an ISO of 1600 might have been too high, 800 or 1000 would've been sufficient, especially in the first & third shot.

I like the lighting on the fourth and fifth pics.

Not bad on the pics now you need some good post processing software to do some tone mapping and such and have some fun with them.

Thanks all, The weels are painted with Dupli-color wheel paint. The can does not have a color name but Charcoal or Gunmetel sounds bout right. I think the wheels turned out nice.

I know less about photography then you do then cause I dont know what ISO is. Im guessing light maybe? And the last one of the car is my favorite.
