no parking lights

Has anyone figured a way to run the headlights without the parking lights, and have the parking lights come on only when you flick your blinker?

call me crazy, but it is pretty big on the e46's and it looked really good on mine...

I was just curious of how it would look.....if it is even possible on our cars

I think 2002's can do this with come VAG-Com'ing

I'm not talking about running parking lights and fogs w/out headlights.....

I'm talking about running headlights at night w/out parking lights....

I have already done the vagcom to enable me to run parking lights/fogs w/out headlights during the day....

i did the ROW country code on my B7 for the lighting and it does what you are talking about, i.e. no ambers with headlights on.

ROW on B6 doesn't do that.

As far as I know, the only way to do it on our cars is to cut the wire going to that filament and splice in a resister and then splice it back into the ground wire.

I didn't realize it would be that easy....maybe i'll try it this weekend, although i'll miss driving with parkinglights/fogs
