Alright guys, need some help with some codes

edit: So I seem to be in limp mode. I can start the car, it runs, although the rpm's bounce just a little bit. I need to get this thing back on the road!

This is my most current VAG reading. I know my problem is related to the CPS code (P1338), but I can't seem to figure out what the hell is wrong. The only thing I can figure is that my timing may be off. All I had done is replaced my valve cover gasket and the little gasket that goes under the Timing chain tensioner. I have a feeling my problem may liew with the tensioner and not the CPS, as I have tried two different ones, and neither made a difference. This is what I'm getting, any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Re: Alright guys, need some help with some codes

I want to say that Power Supply issue has something to do with the speed of the windows going up and down...something minor like that. i had it, looked it up and ignored it months ago. everything has been fine since then.

don't know much about what the cam tensioner would be, but my question is when was the last time you replaced the timing belt kit? (which includes that tensioner)

Re: Alright guys, need some help with some codes

I replaced the timing belt and all it's pulleys/tensioners in december. There aren't any problems there. The problem is with the timing CHAIN tensioner on the back of the head. That is where I ran into problems. Any help on how to get it back on track?

Re: Alright guys, need some help with some codes

    bump.

Is it possibly to throw off the timing by moving the timing chain too much? keep in mind I never fully removed the chain from the cams...

It throws the MIL light and the 17746 - Camshaft Position Sensor (G40): Open or Short to Plus P1338 - 35-00 - - code immediately after starting the car. I'm lucky if I can drive it out my driveway without the rpms dropping way too low and dying...
