    VEI Podi installed with pics....

So I got around to installing my VEI Podi today after work, this really is a great product and everything went together nicely thanks to Winston and reading some of the previous threads on how to get it right the first time. I also was pleasantly surprised to see that my vacuum and boost levels were in spec and no issues there So with out further ado here you go...

I used the add a circuit technique, and used the slot for the reverse lights, and you'll notice I used a ground that I already had for my radar detector up top/middle..

I very happily noticed that when I removed the vacuum line from the manifold that it was deteriorating, so snip snip and got a nice fresh piece, installed the supplied T-fitting.

I just need some glue to secure the gauge in place and I am 100% done.. any suggestions on what you guys used?

If you didn't want to use glue a 1.5" strip of electrical tape stuck to the body as close as it can to the edge of the bezel will hold it in place.

You will find that you will twist the gauge into place and it won't move much after it is wedged in.

Nice idea with the electrical tape.. I'll try that tomorrow.. Winston, you may want to update the green wire issue on your website. I didn't wire that up as you noted in another thread and the gauges dim feature works well.

We have new writeups coming but you really don't need to use the dim feature.

I set my gauges at brightness level 2 and I find that perfect for day and night viewing.

With the electrical tape you will want to put it just so it cannot be seen when the gauge is pushed into place. When you look at the gauge from the side view you will understand what I mean.

yeah I understand just what you mean with the tape.. I also used shielded quick disconnects on my extra wire to gauge wires for easy removal if and when I decide to paint the podi platinum..
