    Re: High Flow Cat

I've been in to see Chris. He did 60lb injectors, 710N and tune for me last week. He suggested the Cat next. I need to get it back on the dyno to see just what my money bought! I will call the shop in Dorval tomorrow.

So far as not looking, I searched the sites I could find. I did not perform an exhaustive search nor imply that I did. I do however appreciate the links provided. I will contact several of them tomorrow.

    Thanks to you both.

    Re: High Flow Cat

Yeah I saw that one. Is it worth its $1g asking price? Thats pretty steep. At that point I'd almost consider running a test pipe and having my tune modified.

What exactly do you love about it? The no gain it provides over a stock cat?

    Re: High Flow Cat

been thinking about your reponse... your saying it does not perform better than stock, thats bunk. when i looked at the internals of each, the hfc clearly has less cells than stock which makes it flow better. the stock cat looks like a 2 thousand tiny straws bunched together. less=better breathing
also the milltek is $700 more than the tantrumwerks.

No shit Sherlock, that's the basic theory behind high flow cats. However, the reality does not reflect the theory in this application (our turbo motors). You can wish or think it works, but it doesn't.

    Once again, the reality: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...hp?t=112672#29

(The Milltek has even less cells, so "theoretically" it should perform even better)

    Re: High Flow Cat

gettin a little pissy... i could have gone less cells but i still have to drive clients and a family around, so the noise difference was a factor. thats why i like forum, there is someone that always knows more. thx for the link!

im with you revs quicker and pulls longer/harder. its not like you really gain any real HP from either. flows better, sounds better. btween the hfc, fmic and exhuast it all works well together.
