Suggestions on mounting a 60mm gauge... Can't find anything!

I purchased the Defi boost gauge from a user on AZ not too long ago. Lately my car has been running like crap, and it only motivates me more to get my damn boost gauge installed ASAP. The only thing that's holding me back is finding a way to mount the 60mm gauge. No one has a vent cut-out option for a 60mm, and I can't seem to find any steering column pods for it. I want to stay away from the A-pillar gauge setup, but even that I can't find.

I tried writing to Pod.I about possible solutions but I didn't get answers back, so now I turn to you guys for help. Any ideas? It would be great to find a solution for this by the time I get back to the states!

I made my own for the a-pillar as you can't get any mounts like this at all in the UK. Bought a universal pillar mount, cut it down to fit the pillar nicely, then stretched some cloth over it and covered in fibre glss resin, let it go hard then wiped a thin layer of filler over the top and sanded. It's not quite finished yet, waiting for some black headlining to cover it. But you get the idea.

^yeah, but it doesn't matter much if the pod is attached nicely to the a-pillar. if you look at pictures of airbag deployments of the a-pillar, the pillar cover doesn't really go that far.

    No airbags in my A-pillars. Maybe cos it's a 1998 euro pre-facelift?

Buy a 52mm steering column pod and just cut the insides of the pod till the 60mm fits .. I had it on my a-pillar befor I sold it to you .. but I only had a 52mm .. little cutting and the 60mm fit .. should be the same thing on the steering column

www.gaugepods.com has a 60mm column pod in the works. I saw the prototype. It's not on the website yet - but I was told it's going to be available in a few weeks.

    Hope this helps.

Cut it yourself i just installed my gauge yesterday. The plastic is some what soft. I used wire snips and a file more than i used the dremel. Take your time don't rush.
