how hard is flat black to keep clean? much harder than normal clear coat black... or pretty much the same? just wondering how the satin clear holds up to everyday wear and tear..

This car is covered with a flat-black sheet, and you can CLEARLY notice it in the 7th photo (the exhaust).

Well, yeah... except that according to my not-so-educated German, the car isn't painted flat black at all, but rather it has been "professionally covered in foil". (This might be why all the photos are shot with an anamorphic lens. Perhaps It makes the seams a bit more difficult to see.) One can see some artifacts of a covering near the exhaust tips, and in the closeups of the bumper, where the verticals are joined?

There is also a question and answer at the bottom which indicate that the paint on the car is factory Avus Silver, which is still there, because the car has been "pasted" (wrapped?) with foil.

I wonder how good these things look in person, and if the durability is there? Dings would be a pain in the ass to sort out, would they not?

Interesting, but I'd skip it if it were going on my car.

I would assume the "foil" is a flat black vinyl. I've seen a lot of guys with exotics do this to their Ferrari's and Porsche's because they like the new look, but don't want to ruin the original paint.
