    New tints and gunmetal wheels

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I haven't been on audizine in a while due to school and going on vacation so I thought I would post what I recently did to my a4. I powdercoated the rims to the gunmetal color which I had a lot of help from a good friend. We chemically stripped the old paint off so no chipping would occur with the new paint. After that, I got the windows tinted. The percentage on the tints are 35% which in PA cops won't bother you about. Feedback is appreciated. Here are some pics:

    Paint your lowers :)

Add a lip spoiler ( if you like)

    Clear corner

    And it will perfect.

I love the tints what kind of tints are they ? I will be getting my tints soon

35% light going through or 35% light blocked?

What product did you use for the wheels?

    Looks good

True that... put on the S4 lip and the clear corner and that will look very nice. I like the wheels as well!

PA cops do care about 35%...even when youve worked with them for the past 3 1/2 years...well, certain ones..car looks great. I just got done last week re-finishing my sports in silver using duplicolors wheel coating..the shit works awsome, imo.

I am planning on adding the lip spoiler, as for painting the lowers, I thought about it but I really like how the wheels match the lowers perfectly.

I think 35% going through, I had them professionally done. As far as the product, I used rust-o-leum spray cans from wal-mart, the color was called charcoal metallic. Me and my friend also used etching primer and clearcoat.

Thanks for your feedback, I have had mixed opinions on this matter , I might get rid of them in the future, but for now I really like how it adds contrast to the car.

The wheels matching the lowers was one of the first things I noticed - I like it.

Lose the bottle in the cupholder though - dangerous spot!

Re: New tints and gunmetal wheels

HAHA get the hell out I just did the same on my wheels, but my body is that gorgeous candy apple red they made back then. I totally agree with the unpainted lowers, it makes the car look like there's just a nice line along the bottom with the wheels that colour. I was hesitant at first but I love it, I wish I had some way to powder coat mine, mine are getting chipped :(... You know what you gotta do now, find yourself some nice 2000 to 2002 HP2 calipers off an S4, paint em black and squeeze em in there, it looks sick :P
Maybe I should post some pics of mine too

Don't paint your lowers unless you are planning on switching wheels. I usually am not a fan of unpainted lowers, but when you wear it as good as you do, then you have to keep it. You and Sleepy 1 make it look good.
