    New Mods & Questions

    Hey Everyone,
Did some new modifications this weekend and wanted to share with everybody. I went with the Forge 004 BOV. I am surprised at how loud it is at stock boost. The best part is... no CEL's yet I also installed the APR Snub Mount. I could not believe the difference in how tight the shifting is, it's awesome! While I was under the car I realized that my car has the sport package (Red Shocks) My question is, is there anything else that the sport package includes other than the red shocks? I did find one thing that I was kind of alarmed by. When I pulled off the "intercooler" pipe on the passengers side to make more room for the BOV install, a little bit of oil came out of the pipe. Does this mean that my turbo seals are on their way out, or already gone? What do you guys think? Any help would be appreciated. By the way, 2003 A4 1.8TQ 5-speed 107,000 miles. I have also had the oil sludge service done. Thanks.

sport package is 17in alloy 5 spoke wheels. and the different shocks. the intercooler usually has some oil in it. its very normal for that to happen. a friend of mine that has a 1.8t jetta (2005 with 55k) just drained 3 oz's of oil from his IC over the weekend. plus if you go on a4mods.com and read the DIY for the front mount they'll explain that this is normal and OK.

Nice I did the APR snub and I love it. Next thing put an RS4 rear sway on it, it's only about $100 and its amazing.
Oil in the IC is normal, that stuff is in your air lines and all in your IC as well, it's perfectly normal, I had that same moment when I was doing my timing belt. Pulled off the lines, saw oil and kind of went oh $hit... It's call blowby I think, and it's just oil leaking from the seals, but as mentioned its perfectly normal, don't be surprised if you find a lot in there. Not like 4 or 5 cups a lot but enough to pour it out.
