S6 Avant Avus Wheels-need pricing advice

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I just upgraded from my stock S6 Avant wheels (Avus 17X8's), 5x112, 35mm offset to some RS4 reps in 18".

The stockers are in mostly good condition with one wheel having a noticable scratch/gouge on one of the spokes and a few small things here and there. I don't believe that there is any actual curb rash.

The tires are pretty high quality, all season, high performance bridgestones (I'll confirm the actual) in 255/40/17 size. They have about 5 thousand miles and are probably good for another 25,000 at least.

Question is what they are worth? What other cars will they fit one? I think that these are the exact same wheels as the B5 S4's came with (I used to have one actually!)... Can anyone confirm?

    Anybody want these?

Re: S6 Avant Avus Wheels-need pricing advice

Good luck, I have been trying to pedal mine for about 4 months. Tires are too wide for just about anythng else on here. The S4's were a 8.0" wide, while the S6's were 8.5" wide. The 255 tires are what is bad, better off selling without tires.
The RS6's look good on these cars, my own biased opinion though!!! LOL!!!

Some S4's came with the 17" and some others with 18"s and I've seen them go from $300.00 to $700.00 obviously the tires are in good shape so go to eBay and see how much others have sold similar items. That will give you an idea...
Also believe it or not the picture and how you post the wheels for sale can determine how much you get. I eBay a lot of stuff and put some time in to getting the post to look and read just right and I always surprise myself with how much I make per sale...

    Good luck!

Thanks for the info! Your car looks great! I'll post pics of mine once it's more fully along... It's starting to take shape and I love it as a daily driver!!!

What lowering kit did you use? I'm considering some of the coilovers, etc...

Is this stock stuff worth selling? Did you upgrade your sways?

Are those lights cleared as a DIY or is that an aftermarket set?

I am still on my stock sport suspension, next will be to drop her a little and add sways. I did the CC mod myself (while bumper on the car), and added the silverstars. The CC mod looks much better on C5's the on the B5's. You can't even tell the difference on these, where on the B5's you could see the drill holes, etc...

Ya it is a fun car, and is my daily driver as well, I hardly drive the S4 anymore, but now that it is costing $85+ to fill her, the S4 might see some more daily driving soon.

    Enjoy

Actually, the OEM C5 S6 wheels are 17x8" ET35 offset vs. the OEM B5 S4 wheels which are 17x7.5" ET45 offset. Either wheels will easily clear HP2 calipers, which means that they will pretty much fit any audi with the 5x112 bolt pattern (unless there is a big brake kit that requires 18s). The S6 wheels have an offset that brings the wheels further out, and look great on any C5 A6.

Ahh, thanks for the info. I could have sworn that they were 8" wide b/c I glanced at them over the weekend when they took them off at the tire shop.

I'll clean them up and get some pictures up hopefully this weekend. I don't really see the need to keep them at this point so I'll just be looking for a fair price and easy transaction. Maybe I'll separate the rims from the tires as well...

Thanks for the info. Car looks pretty nice even with stock sport suspension! I really don't want to lower mine but I feel like I want it just a *bit lower so I'll probably do coilovers soon. I'll have to look into the clear corner mod...

Interested in helping me out??? I'm in Santa Monica-are you local?

Gas is pretty expensive these days but luckily I don't have a long commute. The other thing is that my Porsche gets about 11mpg if I drive it moderately right now, hehe so the Audi's 15 or so avg. doesn't seem so bad...

Ahh yes the WTF do I do with my stock parts question.... I have the same problem.

It just warms the heart to see fellow S6'rs on the site. RaudiS6 you should have joined S_Six and I at the Irvine Spectrum meet! You would have been the best Silver S6 there, S_Six had the best black and I had the best red. (we were the only C5 S6's there haha)

We should try to make the next one and be the cool exclusive group like the RS6s Socal S6's represent!

I have 19" wheels, H&R coilovers and rear sway. I keep thinking about clear corners and exhaust. Just don't have time. fun fun fun.

I'll have the best crushed pearl!!! Maybe I'll join the next one...

FYI-I have a Milltek Exhaust coming any day... I'll try and post up a review once I've had it for awhile. If anybody wants to listen to it live sometime, I work near LAX across from the Howard Hughes Spectrum...

I don't have too many pics yet but I'll get some soon. I just put on some 18" RS4 VMR reps in Onyx black, tinted out all the windows and have the exhaust coming soon... I'm planning out the rest now.

I have a complete sound system going in with Nav, XM, Navtraffic, Weather, DVD, all new amps, speakers and a custom 12" sub glassed into the rear driver storage compartment...amps will go on top of spare tire... It should sound clean!

I'm considering doing the RS6 grill, clear corners, red tails and maybe a few other little knick knacks and then calling it a day. With all of that I'll have invested half of what I paid for the car in mods... hehe, oh well!

I picked up with car in San Diego a few months back to replace my Tundra Double Cab that went off lease. I love driving the S6 more than the truck... I had a 2000 S4 Biturbo back in the day so this car reminds me a lot of that vehicle (fond memories)...

Whats the deal? All the nice S6s' are in Cali? If one of you guys can, I would be very interested in the DIY on the CCs' (does anyone know if we can get E-codes for this model C5?)........and do get the RS6 grille; it really cleans up the front end.......

I'd love info on the Clear Corner mod (or better yet somebody to help who has done it before!)

Funny you should mention the RS6 grille b/c I JUST bought the blacked out version off of ebay moments ago...

    Hey Streets,

There are a lot of post about the CC mod.

I've been thinking about painting the headlights as well. I just wish there were some more aggressive front ends for our cars. The RS6 pieces are hard to come by and are pricey. Look good though.

This is a real RS6 Avant next to my S6 in Irvine .

I will have to try an make it out to an event. I have brought my S4 to some last year, not the S6 yet. What is coming up next? I went to check out the Riverside Starbucks GTG on Wed's, did not see any rings, just Vdubs, cool, and alot of pic taking, and I got some stares, but need some more Audis there.

I saw a S6 in Vegas a couple weeks ago, with RS6 upper and lower grills, and matching screens on his fogs, looked sick as hell on the S6, I wish I had my camera.

I know my S6 wheels are different than yours, but I'm definitely keeping mine in storage. Maybe throw some winter rubber on them.

Also wanted to say, that the next time I'm in SoCal, we definitely need to set up an all S6 Avant photoshoot. Maybe we can get Autobahn Exotics to bring the RS 6 Avant out as well. It's a shame AoA didn't release the C6 S6 Avant here.

I wouldn't mind keeping mine but I space challenged to say the least! I have car parts stacked up (along with motorcycle parts) and I need to get rid of some stuff that I'm not really going to use/need...

I'll get some pics this weekend and then post them up here and eventually on fleabay if nobody wants them...
