    Something is rubbing...

my car is lowered and while driving around town today i drove over a bump that tagged the bottom of my car . its still drivable but whenever letting off of the gas from any gears between 1-3 (whenever the car settles forward) there is a rubbing noise that sounds like something is touching a tire. the sound seems most existant in reverse. it kind of sounded like something plastic was rubbing it but after lifting the car and checking each tire i didnt find anything that looked out of alignment or anything close to the tires. from the sounds i hear i think and hope its nothing serious but does anyone have any input on what might be wrong? any suggestions are appreciated. thanks in advance.

could be a lower control arm ball joint, they'll rattle/grind at low speeds, sometimes it's hard to tell which one because the joint might be cracked, but not bad enough to break through the rubber seal. If you jack it up and put some lateral force on the joints (left/right), you might feel something poking into the rubber seal. The bushings usually only make creaking noises when they are compressed, like going over speedbumps

thanks for the input. it doesnt sound like a joint is cracked but ill check it out today after class and see if it is. it doesnt creak or anything its just a really loud rubbing sound. it kind of sounds like a big rig using its jake brake.
