Built S4, How much AWHP?

I've been searching for HP ratings on built s4's and havent come up with anything...

My car has pauter rods,stock pistons,stock cams,ARP head and main,custom FMIC,ported head,custom turbo kit and EMS... Turbo's are a little bit bigger than T28's

How much AWHP would you think this can support?
What about stock crank? Drivetrain?

Theres too much money into this and I dont want to ruin this by being misinformed!

Because this is a specific setup I think it is fair that I post this...

stock trany is good for as much as you can make.

stock drivetrain will hold all the power you want, except for the front half shafts. You may twist one of those off if you leave them stock. On stock engine internals, a good bet is to stay under 550whp.

And I personally would not go beyond 500whp on stock block...people have trashed rods under 550whp. With forged rods, the sky is the limit.

ask pauter directly and they will tell you that they dont reccomend exceeding 600whp on their rods... the bolts they use arent big enough to support anything above that..because of clearance issues they cant really use beefier hardware.

That doesn't sound right. The Rosten's I have are rated at 150hp/rod (900hp). I can't imagine Pauters being 300hp less.

my pauters dont have 5/16th arp2000 rods bolts, I had them upgraded to 5/16 625 custom aged rod bolts, the same clamping load as a 3/8 arp2000, its about a $225 upgraded bolt option, yea, pauters have been pushed to crazy HP levels in all types of cars with there X beam design, they say 600whp because of the rod bolts and liability, I think everyone should be ok, as long as things are put together the right way. Make sure to use nice assembly lube if you are doing it yourself, it is designed to stick to metal longer so that your initial bearing surface break-ins are smoother, and follow arps instructions

also, I dont think ARP makes head studs for the 1.8t or the 2.7tt because of the wierd audi nut that has a 6 point vw/audi exclusive tool, the mains can just be cross referenced to any ARP stud to make your own main stud set :)

Whats bigger then "t28ss", as theres 20 different sizes? Why would you need anything larger then what a t28 can offer? GT28ss are good for 1000hp which is 450 more then what your average S4 will ever handle..

All engine work,exhaust,manifolds,etc are done.Its just a question of torquing heads(i dont know if its called like that in english),put back in the whole front end of the car, wire up the EMS, break-in the engine and clutch, and dyno time.

I think that the car will be starting up in 2 to 3 weeks. Then the break in process and dyno time.

Eurocode and Autospeed both have S4's that are making 650+whp. I think Vast also has done a few Twin GT S4's.

David @ Eurocode is making well in excess of 650WHP with a built motor (2.7). I personally blew up his transmission on a high RPM launch so the power limitation is right around that.

His new transmission is fully built with cryo treated hardened gears and it seems to be holding the power.

As far as the power train goes, it is hard to say what it will handle stock...right now the car has front and rear LSDs, DSS stage 5 axles and a twin plate carbon ceramic clutch that will hold about 850 pounds of torque (steel billet flywheel).

Manifolds where custom fabricated, no company, nor store,etc.as well as the downpipes,exhaust,cable driven TB in stock IM.

The turbos where bought from a guy who was going to upgrade his TT Supra.

I dont know any of this because when I bought the car i didnt buy it for this. Instead I ended up spending more money than before..
