    Question Performance Friction Brake Pads

Does anyone have experience with the Carbon Metallic pads? I have seen the name pop up a couple times and I was wondering how do they fare? I have Hawk Ceramics now, but they are on my B6 A4 brakes. I'm upgrading to B6 S4 fronts and I want a more aggressive pad that is quiet, low dust and has wear sensors.

    Re: Performance Friction Brake Pads

Centric pads for the stock S4 calipers is very very good. Centric owns StopTech. you really do not need the wear sensors. it is very easy to check if the pads are low.

Cobalt Friction pads are awesome, we use them in our race cars and street cars

    Re: Performance Friction Brake Pads

I tried the Centric route, that was my first choice, but Zeckhausen is out of stock and so is Centric. I have been waiting long enough to put these brakes on so I'm looking for a faster alternative.

I'll look into these, what pad type do you suggest for street driving, I do not ever track or plan to track my car. It's a daily that does lots of highway

    Re: Performance Friction Brake Pads

I have been using the Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads on my Nissan Maxima for four years and they kick ass. Low dusting, and they grab like crazy once warmed up. The first braking application isn't the best but every push of the pedal after that is fantastic.

If you but them from Autozone, you'll never have to purchase another pair for as long as you live. They replace them for free as long as they haven't hit the rivets.

    Re: Performance Friction Brake Pads

Sounds like they act like ceramic pads.
