    SSAC Exhaust Install Review..

Well, there are a lot of posts about their exhaust. However After spending 3 days trying to install this exhaust I thought I would post my thoughts.

    1. The drivers side left flange nut connection is to close to the downpipe to get a ratcheting wrench on it. I got mine stuck and took forever it get it off. I used used a regular wrench no big deal.

    2. Using stock clamps to bolt the downpipes to cat back is near impossible, I had to grind insides and heat up the pipe and hammer the edges.

    3. Supplied Clamps suck and leak.

    4. Downpipes hit the undercarriage of the car, I noticed increase in vibrations.

    5. The passenger side downpipe does not fit at all. There was a gap between the turbo and the downpipe, because it was rubbing on the tranny mount bracket. I tried to heat the downpipe and hammer it to dent it, but there is still a gap. This is by far the worst for me.

So I now have 1 downpipe on drivers side and 1 stock gutted downpipe on passenger side.

Has anyone else had this problem ?

screw there Dp's. Take your stock ones to a good shop, have the gut the pre-cats and flange up the pipes in front of the cat. Have them make test pipes and boom. You have removable cats from stock pipes. With the pre-cats gutted and the cats removed, that Hp gain alone is 20+ and you won't notice the difference between custom 3inch and moded stock ones. I had in done for $350 and you won't have install problems.
    Cheers,

SSAC just started using better clamps... you should be alright with the ones that come with the dp's.
