    Low RPM ESP?

Heading home tonight, I roll up to a stoplight, clutch in, and right as I am about to take it out of 3rd, light changes green. So I just clutch out and dip into the throttle about 40-50%, and I get a brief ESP engagement lighting up (the brief flashing you get in low traction situations). Was a little low in the RPM range to leave it in 3rd (maybe 1200 rpm) but it's a holiday, so I'm lazy. At any rate - it went out right away, and nothing since.

As is always the case with the nanny lights, I'm all paranoid now. I know the MAF can trip the ESP, but everything I've found in searching hints at a solid light. This really seemed to be low RPM engagement, and I'm curious if anyone else has seen or heard anything like it?

Stasis rebuilt with 4:1 center diff, if it helps.

Did the clutch slip? ESP will kick in for clutch slip.

It's possible, as I know it was a "lazy" shift.

I'm not too worried - haven't seen it since, but you know how it goes - the gremlins drive you crazy.

Maybe she's just angry with me. Guess I need to start driving it like I stole it again.

I feel better now that I know it's happening elsewhere. Or does it mean we are just both lazy chumps?

I have a fairly new RS4 clutch, so I'm not too worried about it. YMMV

Happens to me at the track (or at least that's when I noticed it) when I'm nowhere near losing traction. Curious of the cause as well.
