got all the parts, now to decided on the tune

i got a good deal(free) on a gt25r with low miles, since i have a t28 manifold sittin around, and my buddy welded me a downpipe, the oil lines are assembled im ready to install this "oddly sized turbo" (i smell a new club)

heres what im wondering, you guys thing its better to lemmi tweak a large injector k04 file, or a t28 file to get the most out of this turbo?

ive been bouncing between the pes t28 file and the giac j31 file, help me decide!!!

yea, but im worried about the agressive timing uptop with the gt25r compared to the k04, thats alotta boost and alotta timing up top... kinda makes me lean toward the t28 file...

A custom tune from unitronics or epl if they would do it. Tweaking files not knowing what your doing = blown motor. And the j31 is not the file you want to tweak a gt25r on.

i know what im doing, and yea i was thinkg j31 was a little much on the timing side of things

Find yourself a old PES T28 file for the 2000. I already sold mine. You could also try to find a APR Stage 3 ecu.

Nismosx has a pes 1.3 bar chip for sale you would need a PES encryption board to use to though.

I would use that as a base map, tune from there. Going this route you would still have room to grow into a t28 or gt28r.

The GT28r and GT25r are the same exact turbo, Garrett just renamed the GT25r to GT28r. To go bigger he would have to step up to the rs/71.
