Re: Gauges. Vent Mount or Column Mount?

Well... can't say as I've had both styles.

But I prefer the look of the Podi with a VEI dual function gauge (I got oil temp and boost). Can't wait for the gauge to arrive!

Plus Winston is the greatest... he takes customer service to the next level. And that's no shit, I'm a tough customer.

Everyone likes/dislikes one over the other for their own reasons so pick one based on what you would like.

I personally would have bought an AWE vent gauge if I never designed my own. My reasons? 1) Safety, I did not want to look away to a vent and then adjust my eyesight in order to get a reading from the gauge. If you are doing 15+ psi you are moving pretty quick down the street. 2) I use my vent all the time and did not wish to lose one.

But whatever you do don't buy an ECS gauge setup. Pure garbage copies of the originals.

    The man speaks truth!

ECS copied the Podi... poorly at best. So save yourself the hassle and get the good one. Plus theirs is awkwardly in the middle whereas the Podi is positioned properly to the right-hand side of the pillar.

I used to have a vent gauge. I replaced it with a dual pod on the a pillar custom upholstered to it

Re: Gauges. Vent Mount or Column Mount?

Had the AWE in the past, but dumped that out due to the stupid Omori gauge buzzzing like mad! I got Podi as my replacement along with an electronic boost gauge. All I can say is that I am glad that i got back my vent that can direct the air towards me =)

On a side note it is little bit dangerous to judge exactly what psi is the car hitting on the AWE though compared to Podi which is right infront of you.

    Just my thought though.....

    Podi.

Both the Podi and AWE packages are great, but when I compare my likes/dislikes of each, to me the Podi is the best option.
