    55K Plugs -PIC

Did my plugs today and wanted to share what they look like at 55K. These are the original units (NGK) that were in the car when I bought it new. With these, the car pulled really strong and I was still able to get 22-23 MPG on the freeway -amazing!!! Can't wait to see if the new ones help the MPG a little. BTW, I replaced these with Bosch plugs (part number 101 905 615 A). Hopefully they'll hold up as well as the NGK's.

Definitely let us know how the new plugs feel to you. Why did you switch to the Bosch?

I always thought NGK > Bosch.

Everything seems ok and the car definitely purs better at idle. I'll be taking a drive up to the OC this week so I'll see if there's any difference in mileage. As for why I switched, no reason other than I didn't know what plugs were in there until I changed them - I just ordered what I thought would be OEM. BTW, I only paid $4.00 per plug which I think is a steal for these. I got them from Frank at http://www.toeoutperformance.com. Super nice guy and he just had some of these laying around so he cut me a deal. Since he made me that deal I ordered some Hawk HPS pads from him as well for my new Adam's rotors. I don't think Frank will always have deals like that, but if you need anything, I would highly recommend calling him as he seems very willing to help out.
