and what are you using to up the boost??

    6-7psi is stock.

Colder temperatures the car will boost lower because of the denser air. But it will still make the same HP.

did it feel slower at 6psi?

Andyrew, an awm is set to hit 10-11psi stock.

check engine light on? regardless, check for codes. most local part stores (autozone, napa, advance) will do it for free.

Re: car only getting to 6psi...

sorry guys ive been away from my pc the last few days...

the car is still doing the same thing.. the check engine light is on for my cat (which is gone cuase of the exhaust i have) and Secondary air injection system.

the car definitely feels slower. at 6psi then 10.

so check the maf and do a boost leak test?

how will i know if its the maf?

Re: car only getting to 6psi...

If you disconnect the MAF and your car runs much better than, you need a new MAF. You can also log your MAF if you've got VAG.

Did you get your codes read again? Because even if you check engine light was already on, more codes can show up and you won't realize it because your engine light is on. Your MAF will usually throw a code. Which is why you should either, take care of whatever problem causes your check engine light so that it goes away, or check your codes on a regular basis so you know when new codes pop up.

Do some searching, you can get rid of the code related to your cat and probably your SAI which I know little about.

Re: car only getting to 6psi...

by the way, a lot of people (including dealerships) claim that their k&n filter destroyed their MAF with the oil required on the filter. I hear the best way, is to apply a light coating and to let it sit out and dry for a day before putting it back on your car.. you may want to take this into consideration before installing a new mass air flow sensor if it turns out to be your problem.
