So I traded in my a4 for an Evo, and got 10,500. I had to jump on it as it isn't worth squat. Look at what they are selling it for:

Not in a good area for that. Noone is going to buy an Audi for that much from a private owner. it was my daily driver as well, so it would depreciate even faster.

Kinda expensive i think but it is a dealer someone might buy it. I got my quattro with 10k less miles and 2 years of CPO warranty for about 1k more.

Why can't Mitsubishi make the back end look the part. The front of the EVO looks great, but from the back back/side, it looks like a random riced up Japanese econobox, with those altezza tails and a huge ass useless wing.
Not dissing your obviously fast ride btw... Just an observation.

^ agreed. The rear of the lancer just looks awakward imo. Even if you take an EVO and remove the wing and replace the tail lights, the rear still looks like crap. You have this very aggressive and sculpted front end paired with a basic rear. Oh well, still one of the best performance bargains every produced.

I love the fact that it is AWD, my a4 was obviously a "wwd" (wrong wheel drive) as i quote someone on here from a while back. Yes the ability to pass people/get into and out of traffic at will is defenately a bonus. I love the fact that I feel like I am driving a sports car. I do miss the fact that the a4 had all the luxurious features and very quiet to drive. But my first moded car was an 96 integra. When I went to the a4 it was a huge difference. I would just constantly sell myself on the fact that it was a luxury car.... I miss the gas mileage. The Evo gets right at 300 miles till the light comes on (14 gallon tank) and well the a4 got up to 476 till the light came on (18.3 gallon tank). one of the things i hate the most about the Evo is that it is extremely cheaply made. I mean come on even though it is an Evo, it still is a Mitsubishi. Not trying to bust on Mitsu, but when I had my Audi, I would get in my wifes 07 Accord and think man this thing is a piece. Now I am like, this thing is nicer than I thought. LOL. I also like the fact that parts for my Evo are almost 1/2 of what they cost for the a4. The bad part is that I need to jump on a dyno whenever something is added. From what I am learning on the Evo, is a mod could even hurt the power if not tuned after installation. Over all I am extremely happy with my purchase. Maybe after it is all said and done, I will get a Q7 in about 6-10 years.

Also might I add that the Evo retains its value 10 fold better then the A4 does! Strangely enough, but true.

^^yep, the only reason i dont have an evo right now is that price is the same, even higher than it was a year ago....i still regret not picking up an 06mr when i could..impossible to find one now for a normal price tag, and i dont wana go any older

edit: price could be also because they fucked up the styling of the evo X, as well as subaru with the new sti!

That is too funny. I was way upside down on my car. Then he offered me what he did, and I couldn't say yes fast enough. He was like, I didn't look at any books or anything, just by looking at the car... I was thinking yeah right MF, you know you looked it up first. You would be very stupid not to. Then he said 10.5, and I was like he has to be kidding. Especially when I told him I was hoping to get 10 for it. He had to make a killing on the Evo, but I only paid 22K for it. My a4 was wrecked prior to me even owning it. He even looked up the car fax report. I put 30K on it in less then a year. This guy had it coming. Who knows.

I totally agree. I am going to take the wing off as soon as I can afford to have the holes filled and cleaned up. Who knows, maybe carbon fiber, but painted to match.
