    Re: Tsw

I had TSW Hockenheim R's back in the late 90's on a BMW that I had and they were awesome wheels... a little heavy, but awesome. So, last year I bought Sakata's for my TT. Stupid things started peeling the clear coat within a year. I returned them to Discount Tire Direct for a refund and bought a set of Privat Netz's.

I still have my TSW Kyalami's on my Avant, but the center caps are peeling the black paint that spells the TSW logo. The wheels themselves are fine.

I have obviously mixed feelings about them now. As far as looks and casting quality goes I think they're great wheels. As far as finish quality goes they score low grades in my opinion at this point. That's a real shame too... because they have some really nice looking wheels in their lineup.
    A couple of Audi's later...

I have them and like them. No finish problems as of yet. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I have had TSW Trophys on a turbo'ed Civic back in 96-97, and they were great.

I currently have TSW Catalunya's in 19x8 and 19x9.5. The roads around where I live are not the greatest and I have still had no problems. They hold up just fine!

I agree with A4ringedONE8T, all those are great wheel companies, but they are expensive.

Go to a English forum if you care about that shit ... as long as the point is given, and a complete sentence is formed ... who cares! More important things to worry about!

When you're getting insulted, pointing out the irony of bad spelling is fair game I think.

    Re: Tsw

I had a set of TSW Volcano wheels on my GTI. After a winter the clear on the lip was hazing a bit and I washed the car weekly throughout the winter. The rest of the paint looked good and the wheels made it through some nasty potholes unscathed. I'd probably buy another TSW if I was getting a good price and I like the style.

Hey, the point still stands. This is a place for car talk not English grammar class. There are more than enough people on this board that could use a grammar class.

brianmfournier made a very smart-ass'ed remark with zero basis. He deserved the remark I left.

Now on to the TSW wheel discussions!
