IPP intercoolers

just saw these on ebay, look about the same as the CX racing ones
feedback is positive from what I can read but they aren't cheap enough to just try them out, couple of 100's extra and you have Awe's or ER...

I got all excited until I realized they were smaller than AWE's. It would have been nice to see that same price with the same specs as AWE's or ERs =)

The IPP ic's have been discussed in quite a few threads before.

I looked up all the threads, there seem to be 2 different IPP intercooler, S4 upgrades and RS4 upgrades, but I cannot find these ones on ebay or google.

some guys seemed very pleased with the IPP ones VS stock and also from what I read they are a little tad better then OEM rs4's...

anyone has these on ?

I askes the guy about the IC's and he said this:

The stock RS4 intercoolers are not much better than the S4 intercoolers, and in no way compare to these IPP intercoolers. We strive to provide you with the best quality possible while still offering a good price. These intercoolers sell for $895 at retail cost. I am offering them on eBay at a greatly reduced rate...

I now asked him if there is a RS4 upgrade too, cause I saw someone had IPP upgrade IC's from ebay...

I read all the threads about these suckers and found some logging that was way better than stock and some very posotive feedback, but also some negative feedback...

I have the ipp rs4 Ics and they are great (im not basing that on anythibng other than size and price) :)

I asked him and there are indead RS4 replacement IC's , these will need some trimming to place and you need hoses to fit them...

here are the specs:

This IPP intercooler kit for the B5 RS4 was designed to fit within the OEM Audi RS4 Intercooler dimensions. The core, however, is much larger in volume. The measurements o these intercooler cores are as follows:

Height: 8" (203 mm)
Width: 9.25" (235 mm)
Depth: 3.5" (89 mm)

Core volume (outside dimensions) is 259 Cubic Inches, or 4246cc.

By comparison, the OEM Audi RS4 cores measure:

Height: 7.125" (181 mm)
Width: 9.125" (232 mm)
Depth: 2.5" (63.5 mm)

Core volume (outside dimensions) is 163 Cubic Inches, or 2666cc.

These intercoolers are 59% LARGER than the Original Equipment (OE) intercoolers on the 2.7T Audi RS4.
Compared to the Audi S4 and A6 OEM intercoolers, these intercoolers are 68% LARGER.
Inlet and outlet diameter: 2.5 " (64 mm) O.D.
