Finished Installing my I/C's only to find torn cv boot

As the title says, when I was installing my I/C's I noticed that my driver side inner CV boot is torn. I'm not the best DYI guy on the planet but I did just do my I/C's myself. Is replacing the CV boot a simple and straight forward job that I can probably handle or should I just pay to have it done? My confidence level when it comes to wrenching on stuff is about a 4/10. I can't afford to have my car down for more than a day.

The inner boot is a bit of a whore. I would take the axle out and then have the joint pressed off at a shop. Clean out the joint, replace the boot, and re-install the axle.

How many miles are on your car? I would install a brand new axle.

^^You can spend an hour and $20 and have an axle that's as good as new by replacing the boot, or spend $200 to buy a new axle. You're choice.

I got my brand new axles for $89 each. If the boot has been torn for any period of time water, dirt etc can ruin the joint.

Axles aren't something you want to cheap out on. Especially when you're running above-stock power through them. He will have to inspect the joint before replacing the boot.

No, I understand that. Whatever he chooses to do to remedy the problem is fine.
