I LOVE BEING LOWERED! I can't believe I waited so long to do this! Also, when your stock sport suspension has 180k km on it this feels like I'm riding on a cloud! It's a little bouncier than I thought it'd be (Stasis SS) but definately better than what was on there.

As for the brakes? Awesome! I'd go bigger, but I have to run 16's in the winter so I'm kinda stuck. The A8 rears compliment the front's well. It balances out the braking and reduces some of the tendancy for the car to nose dive. It's nice to be this far along now! All I need now is a good paint job done cheap!

question though, did the a8 rotors fit on the front 100% without modification? stock calipers etc?

no....need A8/TT Carriers....and you need A8 Carriers for the rear as well......

Looks good. Maybe it is just me, but I think some tinted tails would do justice to the theme. Does not have to be really dark, but just get rid of some of that red. Your current tails seems to throw your black and yellow theme off. Looks clean either way .

if you're asking me, fronts are cheap. I think I got the carriers for $75 each. The rears are different. I needed the S4 calipers and the carriers. I think all together they cost me around $200. If you look carefully in junk yards and stuff you might be able to find things cheaper. When I got the rear carriers, I had to buy the A8 calipers with it too....kinda sucked.

Also, another thing. I actually painted the calipers with body paint. I put down three coats of silver caliper paint, three coats of colour matched paint, and then I finished with three coats of caliper clear. I'll let you know how it all holds up.....so far it seems ok. PAINT HAS TO CURE FIRST THOUGH! Otherwise it'll just scratch

As for the rear calipers? I'm not really sure what to say. You can probably find some 4 or 6 pot calipers to put on there, but then you start messing with bias' and various things. The A8 swap works really well, it just makes the pedal a little spongy due to the increased surface area and more pressure that is required to stop.

As for painting lowers.....I actually have to do both bumpers, the lowers, the hood and I've got some dents and rust spots. I'm looking to get everything painted but that's coming up about $3500. Considering doing it myself --- just like AudiSnpr. We'll see. I've gotta get those other fenders on though...the hole in the passenger side is disgusting!

I've seen 2 other Brilliant Yellow A4's around my area. One is a 1.8 and the other is a 2.8...very rare indeed!

Also looking into getting the sport cloth seats. If I can find them, I should be able to pick them up cheaper than the S4 seats and then I can re-cover them with yellow suede!

Saw that post.....$1000 for complete interior is awesome! I only need the seats. But how am I going to get a complete interior across the border!!! I've got a hook up locally....going to try that first, if not, I'll look around.

hey dave i dunno if you have a good place to get paint work done in the area, but my roommates dad owns the maaco off of rt 4 in newark

Maaco does good work? They're crap up here! Each Macco is individually owned, so I guess it depends on the people working it, but up here it's know that you'll have to repaint it in a year!

yeah theyre individually owned so its all relevant... i mean theyll still do the basic $10 paint job ya know, but if you want a nice one they will do that too

only problem with that is, "yo, arent you the guy with the yellow a4?" that shit gets kinda old. i had the only one for a while, then some college kid around here had an imola s4 and used to run around like a jackass, so the cops though it was me. it took me a while to talk myself out of that.
