I just ordered In.Pro mirror caps, they are pretty nice. which would be like the top ones you have listed.

Brushed aluminum is the way to go homi. Chrome ones remind me of the Dodge Charger and Impala's with EVERY chrome accessory possible on them.

Oh, one thing to be careful of when you buy the mirror caps is making sure they give you the correct caps. Some of the older C5's have assymetric mirrors - Meaning the passenger side is stubby, shorter than the driver's side.

I saw a pair on ebay that had a good price, but then noticed in the finer print that it was an asymmetric set.

Re: anyone added chrome covers to there mirrors?

    Here's mine:

The chrome goes really well with the window, grill and headlight trim, since they are all chrome as well.

    Mine are in.pro model 5147.

The only brushed mirrors for a C5 are bolted to the RS6. You cannot just swap the housings. You will need the whole mirror assembly for each side. I've seen them on ebay sometimes for $300 per side.

    1. They are brushed aluminum which does not match all the trims on the car.

    2. They are used in this case and they are usually pitted and scratched. You will need to sand them down and re-polish them.

For $110, the chrome caps are the best match and price.

x3 ... There's also a cheezy method of scuffing the in.pro's to look like brushed, If done properly it looks damn good.
