My worst day EVER: NOW WITH PICTURES

I was moving into NYC today and decided to drive my car in because I won't have it all summer. I was making a left onto 17th from Union Square East (horrible turn for those who know) and a fucking cab went through the red light! I didn't see it, but my mother and sister who were with me did; they screamed like hell. Thank god everyone was alright. No airbags, which I thought was wierd.

The entire right side of the car needs to be fixed and the front right wheel is bent sideways...its nuts.

I have a ton of pictures but my cell is dead and I am without a charger; I had to ride with AAA back home.

The cabbie, of course, says it was green (bullshit I had an arrow).

But basically there are WAY too many complications that happend with getting my car towed off of the street to tell you guys.




Sorry about the lack of pictures, but you all know how it feels to see your car like that...I will post them tomorrow!!

That is why I would never drive a nice car into the city. On Valentines Day, a cabbie straight up reversed into my Altima at an intersection. His reasoning was he had to reverse into the other block.

Hope everything is fine and the taxi driver will cover it.

Any witnesses? Was there someone in the cab when he got in the accident?

Make sure to make a police report ASAP because cabs have lawyers that spend all day getting them out of these types of situations..

Yes, there was a police report filed.

There were conflicting stories so the cab company will not pay for it...insurance will have to do.

I'd fight it... I'd tell your insurance company that it is what really happened... tell them your mom/sister saw it all.. i'd fight it to my best ability...

also go to court if a ticket was given. did the taxi cab driver at least get a ticket?? if not then the insurance companies have to take care of it... instead of talkign to your insurance company... you should talk to the other insurance company directly... tell them exactly what happened and sometimes they'll just cover it.

Wow, that really sucks. The doors and fender were pretty banged up. Make sure you get new skins, otherwise that side of your car is never going to look right.

Go to the doctor, have him file that your neck hurts, case closed. He hit you. This is a very easy case. (Aunts a lawyer, I hear about this all the time.) I would personally make out from this case.

Just wanted to add that since the taxi hit you on an angle (from what i see on the pictures) and the chassis is intact the airbag shouldnt deploy.

You car is not too bad, it looks more like a cosmetical damage. Like Louis J. said, replace the skin and your car will be brand new again.
