    any ideas on this code?

    How do I go about fixing this, any ideas would be great!

    coding: 0016751, wsc: 65728

    16840 : evaporative emission system
    leak detected (very small)
    [sporadic]

    vacuum lines
    (1.8T n80 purge valve failing)
    check valves falling apart
    boost hoses (post maf) leak
    bad gas cap or just forgot to tighten it (trust me they do go bad!)

    most of that is just looking around for damaged hoses, any vac lines that are braided get killed by engine heat (esp turbo motors).

    n80 purge valve that doohickey that plugs in that you have to remove when you change the airbox (1.8T) - should not be able to blow through it when you take it off (blow on both ends).

    Pretty easy to debug take your time before it becomes a solid issue.

    coolio, thanks, I'll check it out before I drive it again. I have plenty of extra vac hoses lying around that I can change it with. and I'll check all the stupid check valves too.
