high pitch squeal... no codes other than misfires

a few of you know of my hesitation problems previously....so after i changed my gaps to .024 it was running strong as hell for as long as i cld hammer it. well i was getting on it yesterday and blew the intercooler hose off. walked to a hardware store, bought a clamp and threw it on with a borrowed 2 inch screwdriver lol figured it was good enough to get home, nope, it blew off again. had a buddy bring a wrench and secured one and seemed good to go. now occasionally i hear a high pitched squeal under boost (not all the time tho). car sometimes falls into limp mode but if i restart the car it boosts fine. car will shudder here and there and lose power sometimes under boost. i havent leak tested yet as im not near my garage. im not getting any codes except my friendly 3,4 and 5 cyl misfires. does this sound like a boost leak? i did get a too high resistance on the maf a few days ago but havent gotten the code since. vag says 246 grams p/s so im assuming thats fine?? thanx for any info EDIT TO ADD CODES:::

sounds like a fuel pump to be honest man... i had the high pitch squeal on 3-, with the 5bar. if you head over to AW lately there have been a few threads about dying fuel pumps. did you ever upgrade or stock ?

new fuel pump (stock) about a month ago. the squeal is more like the sound of compressed air passing aluminum pipe if ya know that sound lol

i had a squeal when i installed my front mount.. i kpet tightening the clamps til the sound was gone..

Sounds like a leak, I put in some new ic's the other week and when I test drove her after on WOT she would squeal, so I pressure tested her and sure enough when it got up to ~15psi the squeal started, so found a tiny little leak under one of the clamps which just needed a little more tightening and problem solved. I would definately run a pressure test when you get the chance.

yeah i'll rule out bad turbo hahaha. its when i hammer it under full boost i will hear it sometimes. sometimes if i roll it on it wont make the sound or shudder. i'll leak test today.

That's just cuz he's a little jaded because his BRAND NEW turbo took a dump on him...

Take that IC hose off, spray some hairspray around the IC outlet, replace hose, tighten clamp. Should solve the problem. A boost leak test won't hurt either

leak tested and found no leaks. car is starting to act just like before. progressively getting worse. the tighter gap on the plugs seemed to help for a little longer. i think im outta this game they call stg3

also 3 days ago i got a too high resistance on the maf. i can usually roll the throttle on and it wont shudder. also i was looking around today and noticed the maf to airbox seal with the 2 clips and a o-ring was far from tight. infact it seems downright loose. could i have had a bad seal there causing a faulty maf? the o-ring seems worn and the 2 cips just doesnt seem to pull it tight to the airbox. as said before i just leak tested and found zero leaks.

zero leaks after the Y-pipe. That MAF leak would be something to fix. I would also replace the MAF. You're symptoms sound like what happens when you have a faulty MAF.

yeah at this point i might as well try it. if its not it, i'll at least have an extra MAF laying around.

Im have a very similar setup and am getting hesitation still and a maf too high voltage reading code. Im gonna pressure test this week and see what happens but if no boost leak Im not sure what else it could be
